About Me

Hi everyone! My name is Caitlin Huang and I grew up in Laramie, Wyoming! I am currently a junior at Columbia University, studying Psychology and Public Health! One of the reasons why I chose Columbia was because I wanted to live in the city and I enjoyed the energy shift from the small town that I grew up in. But, the campus environment also allows you to escape from the city and has a completely different feel! Another reason many people choose Columbia is because of the core. Every student has to take it and thus is an experience everyone shares- even those who graduated decades before you. It has allowed me to find areas that I never thought I would enjoy and classes I never would have taken.

As for my areas of study, Psych and Public Health actually weren’t even on my radar of potential majors when coming to Columbia. After taking a few Psychology classes, joining the Public Health Club and taking PUBH courses, I found pockets of interest and knew they were areas I wanted to pursue!

I hope to be able to share my experience and expertise with the college application process. I know that it can seem daunting but I want to be able to ease some of that stress and make it an easier process. I look forward to helping with brainstorming ideas for personal statements, creating college lists, applying for financial aid, the common application, and everything in between!
